Today on 14 May 2022, a blood donation camp was organized in Kashmir Government Polytechnic College in association with Lala Ded Hospital, Srinagar and Red Cross Society Kashmir. 

About 70 people showed their willingness for blood donation, out of which, 47 students and faculty members were able to donate blood after a series of medical checkups before donating blood. Around 30 of them were first time donors.

Chief Guest of the occasion Sh. Sudershan Kumar Director DSD, highlighted the importance of such programs as blood donations drives are the only source for blood since blood can neither be manufactured nor artificially made.

Principal of the Institute Er. Imtiaz Ahmed Shaw extended the vote of thanks to Dr. Javeed Ahmed, Haematologist and his team along with officers from Red Cross Society Kashmir for their support in making the drive successful.

Today on 14th May 2022,  Worthy Director,DSD Sh. Sudershan Kumar flagged off one day technical visit organized for the students of 6th semester to Water Treatment Plant, Rangil in presence of Er. Imtiaz Ahmad Shaw Principal, Er Safiria Naheed HoD, TPO and faculty members. 

The students were exposed to functioning of various components like flocculator chamber, Slow sand filter, Rapid Sand filter and Chlorination tank. The concerned JE along with his team explained the functions and also showed practical demonstration so that students develop an understanding of real working behavior of water treatment plant.. The students were accompanied by Er. Amir Er. Mudasir Er. Safoora and Mr Zahoor, faculty of the institution.
